How do you determine the number of spray nozzles will I need for my home or facility?

A general rule-of-thumb is to place one misting nozzle approximately every 10-12 feet along the back and front eaves of your home and along fences, plus a few for flower beds and other special areas. In barns, we suggest one nozzle for each approximate 12'x12' stall, plus extra for aisles, doorways and grooming and wash areas. Remember, this is only a guideline. For livestock suggestions, click here Every property and facility has unique needs. Our experienced representatives will work with you to determine the proper number of nozzles for your environment. In expansive areas, it may not be adequate to simply install nozzles around the perimeter. We offer free analysis and estimates.

What natural insecticide do we use and recommend?

Permethrin is the primary component in our liquid solutions. Permethrin is a broad spectrum synthetic pyrethroid insecticide. It has been around since the 1970's and is widely used today in public health, home pest control, forestry, and agriculture control. While manmade, it resembles naturally-occuring chemicals with insecticide properties, call pyrethroids. Pyrethroids are found especially in chrysanthemums.

Our system also come with PBO. PBO (Piperonyl Butioxide) is an emulsifiable synergist for use in combination with insecticides, especially synthetic pyrethroids, as a tank mix to overcome resistance that pests develop with constant use of insecticides. We have found that 90% of our clients in horse facilities and livestock application find this combination very effective.

How often will my system need refilling?

Our precision engineered, no-drip spray nozzles each emit approximately 1.1 ounce of solution per minute of operation. The average system is scheduled to spray about three times per day for 30 seconds each (i.e., 90 seconds per day). On a typical system with 40 misting nozzles, this equates to a usage of about one refill (one 55 gallon reservoir) every three to four months. Refill frequency will vary with each installation depending on the number of nozzles and the duration and frequency of misting cycles per day.
